EDIT - A NEW VERSION IS HERE - NEW Velys Conlang
So, I was messing around with my new tablet in GIMP, and I figured why not use this opportunity to put my conlang, Velys, on the interwebs for the first time :] My handwriting is a little iffy, a graphics pen isn't the same as a normal pen to me, but it should be readable. :] Velys has just undergone another change in the writing system too, I'm so indecisive it hurts
It previously had the same consonants but used diacritic marks for the vowels, but I decided against that and changed it. One day soon, I will put up all previous versions of written Velys, so people can see how it's evolved. I'm also working on a pronunciation guide and common phrases too.
The sentence used here is the very first line of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
A literal translation is roughly 'all beings human birthed free and equal in dignity and rights'
'venja' - being, +n makes it plural
'mel' - birth, te+ makes it past tense
The rest is mostly self explanatory.
It's also worth noting that V is a special letter to the Velys, it can be found beginning many of their most important words and is the only consonant with an ascender. E tends to follow v more than any other letter.
Velysyria, Velys, Ve'ryks, venja, veska, valkoss, vendri, var, vir, vrr, van e.t.c
Enjoy. :3 Critique?
